Great Island Artisans Guild “A Fall Festival”
Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 17th to visit “A Fall Festival” arts and craft fair hosted by the Great Island Artisans Guild. The fair will be at the Great Island Overlook Clubhouse, 149 Great Island Road, Plymouth, from 10 am to 4 pm featuring the work of talented artisans from the Pinehills community and beyond.
Our show includes original art, photography, American Girl sized canopy beds, cradles and doll bedding, handbags, totes, scarves, unique jewelry, crafted woodworking, decorative painting, personalized children’s items, soaps, hand made candy, wooden toys and dried flower arrangements.
Ours is an indoor craft show so rain or shine it will be a wonderful event. Two FREE $25 gift certificates will be given away every hour from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm to be used at any booth the day of the show.
Take Exit 3 off Route 3 to Beaver Dam Road and follow the signs to the show.

Peggy Baker,who retired as Director of the Pilgrim Society &
Pilgrim Hall Museum in 2010, is currently a member of the research team for the
General Society of Mayflower Descendants' "Silver Books" genealogical project.
Peggy introduces us to a "Baker's dozen" of colonial Harvard graduates buried
on Burial Hill, including not only ministers, merchants, judges, and
politicians, but also a sea captain, a physician, a gentleman farmer and one
amiable failure.
Free to the public. No reservations required.

The Plymouth Farmers' Market is OPEN for the 2016 Outdoor
Season. The market is at Plimoth Plantation. Join over 40 producer-only vendors
every Thursday, from 2:30-6:30pm and discover locally grown foods, meet
returning and new farmers (including four certified organic), food-makers,
artisans and local musicians. The Outdoor Season runs through the end of
October, rain or shine, on the grassy field at Plimoth Plantation's River Street
entrance.

Free Underbelly Walking Tour of Downtown Plymouth
Sunday, September 18th
Discover Plymouth's unexpected history on this free, one-hour walking
tour of the downtown and waterfront. Join the Plymouth Antiquarian Society in
exploring some of the fascinating episodes from the town's past that have been
overshadowed by the Pilgrim story. Led by expert tour guide Joyce Poremski, the
tour will leave from the Hedge House Museum (126 Water Street) at 3 pm. No
reservations are required. Participants should wear comfortable shoes for
walking. Severe weather may cancel tour; updates will be posted on the Society's Facebook page.
