Plymouth Antiquarian Society Burial Hill Tours - 2017 season starts February 4th

Explore one of Plymouth's greatest historic treasures -- Burial Hill -- during a series of free themed discovery tours. Encounter art, history, and culture in an open-air museum with local historians who share their expertise on a fascinating range of topics. Click here to view our 2017 schedule.

Saturday, February 4 - 1 pm: Love & Marriage in Old Plymouth

How did couples decide to marry in old Plymouth? True tales of local couples reveal changing views and experiences of duty, passion, and togetherness. Join Dr. Donna Curtin, Executive Director of Pilgrim Hall Museum, to find out if love triumphed over all.

Love & Marriage in Old Plymouth is part of Burial Hill: History in Progress, a free program that will continue through the year 2020. Launched independently in 2011 by the Plymouth Antiquarian Society, the Burial Hill series is now a collaborative program with the Pilgrim Society & Pilgrim Hall Museum. Each year, we will present a series of history expeditions on Burial Hill, one of America's oldest and most significant burying grounds. Tours will be offered on the first Saturday of every month at 1 pm (excepting January); meet at the top of the Hill.

No reservations are required for individuals and families. Participants may traverse steep and slippery slopes; please wear appropriate shoes. Severe weather may cancel tour; updates will be posted on the Plymouth Antiquarian Society Facebook page.

For more information contact pasm@verizon.net or call 508-746-0012

An Evening with Livingston Taylor.

Spring Pops with Livingston Taylor - American singer-songwriter, Livingston Taylor joins the Phil for a very special evening of heartfelt story-telling splashed against the power of beauty of our orchestra.

Feelings abound with a program that includes Taylor's 1979 Billboard chart climber, I Will Be in Love with You, and his brother James' song of yearning and home, Caroline In my Mind. A consummate performer and musician, Livingston Taylor takes us across miles of memories with familiar, wistful ballads such as When Sunny Gets Blue, and Over the Rainbow- plus what celebration would be complete without ta touch of bluegrass?

Spring Pops has it all from soulful start to toe-tapping finish.

The freedom to walk, to talk, to run and play. To laugh, to hug. To eat. To breathe. Every day, muscle-debilitating diseases take these abilities away from kids and adults we love. And every day, MDA families are doing remarkable things to live beyond their physical limits. MDA's Live Unlimited movement is inspired by the courage and strength of our families to celebrate what we can do and be relentless in our pursuit of making more can-do moments possible. Join us.

Plymouth's Finest will be on hand helping us with raffles, running "Fill theBoot", and rooting on the brave challengers of our Second Annual "Epic Fail Wing Challenge"! Speedwell Tavern will also be donating 10% of our sales for the day!
