Saving Our Ship - Mayflower II

As a Mayflower Descendant, your own history is forever intertwined with all that Mayflower represents. Your ship, Mayflower, is the embodiment of what it means to dream of a better life. Now- your ship needs your help.

For the past eight months her beloved namesake, Mayflower II, has been notably absent from the Plymouth waterfront while undergoing extensive repairs. Last winter’s scheduled maintenance revealed serious deterioration of Mayflower II’s frame and planks – renovations that could not be deferred. A scarcity of high quality white oak lumber used for wooden ships like Mayflower compounded this difficult situation.

Thousands of visitors are eagerly awaiting the ship’s return, which we hope to announce very soon. In the meantime, we must call upon her fans and friends to help raise the funds needed not only for these repairs but also for her trip back to dry dock next winter. To date, $236,035 has been raised to offset the total repair costs of $380,000 for this year alone.

You can help us reach our remaining goal of $143,965 by making a donation to Save Our Ship now! Every gift makes a difference – bringing our ship closer to home and ensuring her future. Also, by donating online now for Mayflower II's restoration project, you will also be recognized as a Mayflower II Virtual Passenger! Please help preserve Mayflower II’s legacy ~ your legacy ~ as we count the days until her return!
