In
anticipation of the upcoming winter storm, the Town of Plymouth is
making early preparations and is notifying the public of the following
resources.
Town
of Plymouth Snow Emergencies and Emergency Shelter openings are
announced on WATD radio (95.9FM), local and cable media, the Town’s
Facebook and Twitter pages (@TownofPlymouth & @PlymouthEOC), and the
Town’s website: http://www.plymouth-ma.gov/
Residents
are encouraged to call 2-1-1 for specific information regarding local
social services including the opening of local, regional emergency
shelters.
Residents
may also call 5-1-1 for the latest information on transportation and
traffic impacts and are reminded to check road conditions before they
set off. During severe weather it is best to consider whether the
journey is essential. Plows will be operating to treat the roads
throughout this severe weather event.
