Nelson Street Sidewalk Construction to Begin

The town of Plymouth announced that the Sidewalk Improvement Project for Nelson Street is expected to commence the week of Oct. 24.

This work will extend the sidewalk on the northern side of Nelson Street towards Nelson Memorial Park and connect it to Water Street. The Department of Public Works anticipates that this work will take approximately two weeks -to complete. The typical work hours during this two-week time period will be from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays.

During these work hours, residents can expect temporary traffic delays and detours. The town of Plymouth and the contractors will make every effort to minimize these inconveniences to residents, business owners and visitors to the area. However, due to the inherent nature of construction, some level of disturbance will be inevitable.
