Plymouth Antiquarian Society's November Events


Immigrant Stories on Burial Hill: Saturday, November 5, 1pm
Retrace the experiences of immigrant arrivals in Plymouth from Pilgrim times to the 20th century on this free public tour led by Dr. Donna Curtin, Executive Director of Pilgrim Hall Museum. Meet on top of the Hill. No reservations are required. Participants should wear comfortable shoes for walking. Severe weather may cancel tour; updates will be posted on the Society's Facebook page.

97th Annual Meeting & Brunch: Saturday, November 12, 10:30am

Join us at the John Carver Inn for our annual business meeting, a delicious brunch buffet, and a presentation by Executive Director Dr. Anne Reilly on the Antiquarians and the Pilgrim Tercentenary of 1920-21. Non-members welcome! $30 per person. Prepaid reservations are required by November 4th. Tickets are non-refundable. America's Hometown Thanksgiving Parade: Saturday, November 19, 11am
Generously sponsored by Curry College, the Hedge House float will appear in this year's parade. Interested in donning a costume? Members and friends are invited to march as suffragists to commemorate the upcoming 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment. Email pasm@verizon.net or call 508-746-0012 for details.

Illuminate: Saturday, November 19, 4pm

The Hedge House lawn will shine as the venue for this year's inspirational event, organized by Plymouth 400, Inc., the organization planning the 400th anniversary of the 1620 Mayflower voyage and the founding of Plymouth Colony. The Plymouth Antiquarian Society is the town's largest nonprofit preservation organization, dedicated to sharing local history with both community members and visitors since 1919.
