Pilgrim Festival Singers 4-Community Summer Concert Series

Pilgrim Festival Singers, a select vocal ensemble of Pilgrim Festival Chorus (PFC), the region’s principal community choral group, present their South Shore summer concert series, All That Jazz, featuring a program of swing favorites and American jazz standards. Performances are held on Friday, June 16, 7:30 pm at First Congregational Church, 6 Plympton Street, Middleborough; Saturday, June 17, 7:30 pm at First Congregational Church, One Church Street, Rockland; on Saturday, June 24, 7:30 pm at First Trinitarian Congregational Church, 381 Country Way, Scituate; and on Sunday, June 25, 7:30 pm at Spire Center for Performing Arts, 25 ½ Court Street, Plymouth. The ensemble is conducted by Music Director William B. Richter and accompanied by Susan Land Hotchkiss on piano.

All That Jazz offers a program of PFC’s favorite jazz standards and swing music originated by The Rat Pack, Great American Songbook and beyond. Recognizable, toe-tapping tunes round out a program filled with sentiment in light hearted settings, featuring ensemble vocal soloists. Memorable songs, many from the Kirby Shaw library, provide a nostalgic night of entertainment, including Time After Time, Blue Skies, Old Devil Moon, Route 66, I Wish You Love, One For My Baby, A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square, At Last and Moonglow, amongst others.

Tickets for All That Jazz are $10 and may be purchased at the door, or online at www.pilgrimfestivalchorus.org. For more information, please visit the PFC website at www.pilgrimfestivalchorus.org, or follow Pilgrim Festival Chorus on Facebook.
